Currently snapping away on a portrait project. More to follow ;)

Dave wants nothing more than to become a professional entertainer/impressionist. He may be recognisable to you through his appearance on Britain's got talent, the television series shown on ITV. Clicky Linky

Dave is a keen philatelist/numismatist, and is always eager to fill you in on his collection and knowledge of his hobby. He's also a very big fan of the television series 'The Prisoner' starring Patrick McGoohan.

Looking past the eccentricities, and the nervous stammer, there's an honest, likeable, individual who knows what he wants from life. He's at least taking that extra step towards his dream, something that many are too afraid to even attempt.

Dave is currently working hard on his routine with his friend Nigel, and is extremely pleased that they have received their date for an audition for the next series.

Best of Luck Dave!

Shelter

Any person of sound mental condition would probably have taken the 6AM drum beat on the window pane as an indicator that it wasn't really photography weather out there. Stay indoors, stay dry, stay warm, catch up on some photoshopping my common sense purred into my ear. My stubborness and resoluteness were the victors. By 7AM I was stood in a field, miserable, moody, muddy, and cursing the Met office and sky above.

Both the weather and my mood gradually cheered up as the occasional glimpse of a sunbeam illuminated the surrounding shrubbery. For a blink eye moment the whole place radiated in a golden glow, making the drowning worth it.

Just as I got my last shot of the morning in, Margo, Malcolm, and the rest of the Berghaus brigade decided to show up. I made my hasty retreat.

A couple more from the mornings soaking to come ;)

Vanity

"He flits from shop to shop just like a butterfly.

In matters of the cloth he is as fickle as can be,

cause hes a dedicated follower of fashion.

Hes a dedicated follower of fashion.

Hes a dedicated follower of fashion."

--The Kinks - Dedicated follower of Fashion.

A top song, no?

In recent times it seems that the very industry that has been duping women for over a century, with
promises of flawless beauty, wrinkle free skin, and manifestos on this seasons most required trends is now targeting young blokes on an ever increasing scale.

"Hi, I'm Tiger Woods, and after 18 holes on the course I like to use Gillette enhancement skin cream
to fight the signs of aging."

And they're falling for it, by the shedloads! It's an interesting and confusing time to be a *Cough*
young man. Gone are the strict heterosexual rules dedicated to exchanging betting and allotment tips,
to instead be replaced by Meterosexual rules exchanging grooming and style tips.

Are traditionally expected masculine identities being challenged? Can we hug our sisters and rid
the world of patriarchy through the shared purchasing of fragrances and designer labels? Fat
chance!

The whole male identity isn't being challenged, just recommodified. We are the man that the
institutions and industries tell us we are, or allow us to be.
Urban Cowboy

One of the great things about Manchester city center is the number of interesting characters you can stumble upon. From rubber clad geriatrics to Japanese Teddy boys...You'll find it all here.

This fellow was Clint Eastwood through and through. He was wearing black cowboy boots complete with spurs, tight black denim wranglers, and had one mean dirty look that would have made John Wayne quiver with fear.

I nervously stood, facing him in the middle of the pavement as he advanced towards me. Arms at my sides, flexing my fingers, anticipating any sudden movements from the approaching cowboy. Our focusing narrowed eyes met and locked, he approached closer and closer. As quick as lightning, I reached for my 3 frames per second side piece and let him have it. Clink clink clink! Gotcha amigo!

He was actually a very cool guy, and was fine about his picture being taken. I complimented him on his wardrobe, we shook hands, and then we parted. The sound of the old timers spurs hitting the concrete slowly faded into the distance.
