For those seeking an 'apocalypse is nigh' experience, I heartily recommend a 5pm city centre journey on the Metrolink. I say this with both a level of jest and crabbiness of course :) Maybe it's just the type of week I've had so far, but the lack of both civility and basic courtesy of some people on the public transport system really gets me down at times. Pushing, shoving, grabbing, screaming, dragging, spitting, shouting, threatening each other, FIGHTING, all for the brief use of a crud covered plastic seat. Crazy isn't it? Maybe it's the ME ME ME culture that we have been exposed to for so long. Just Me, myself, sod everybody else. It worries me, it truly does. Anyways, I pay my hosting/blogging fees, I'm allowed to have a moan every now and again. Okay? Good! ;-) |
